When I'm not working on the latest projects, I enjoy spending most of my time exploring the nature, free climbing and going for long walks. I, also, love taking photographs of the places i visit and make fond memories by meeting new and interesting people and getting to know different cultures.
When I stay in, i like being on top of everything technology related, blog about interesting tech solve coding and math riddles and playing the occasional video game to blow some steam off. I'm, also, active in various forums in order to exchange ideas and have a broader understanding of the IT field.
Lately I am into running and hopefully I'll be able to run my first marathon soon enough.
Got selected to participate in the Foundations Course for the Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Scholarship organized by Udacity and Microsoft. In this course, I learned how to use Microsoft Azure Services for solving complex problems using Machine Learning. I deployed various models on the cloud, used both supervised and unsupervised learning techniques and automated processes via pipelines. In addition, many of the potential implications and challenges posed by ML and AI were discussed, as well as principles for building responsible AI. Also, participated in the Slack Community where i learned a lot as i had the chance to communicate with people with different backgrounds, share knowledge, solve problems and have fun.
Worked as part of an indisciplinary team to create a guide for the corona virus pandemic. On our "Covid-Master" platform the user gains easy access to straightforward information about the current precautionary measures, local regulations and relevant health information. My task as a team member was to give the user an overview of the situation with various visualizations. To accomplish that i used different data science tools, mainly Python packages(pandas, seaborn, folium) and created detailed plots and choropleth maps. It was a really enriching experience being part of this project as i got to work with people from various countries with different backgrounds (UX design, web development) and used multiple tools to brainstorm and collaborate(Mural, Figma, Slack).
I was among the 7% of people selected from a pool of 3500 candidates after a process involving resume filtering, a game-based assessment and a live assessment/interview. This program gave me the chance to train on Data Science and acquire solid experience on a variety of programming languages and tools (Python, SQL, Microsoft PowerBi, Microsoft SQL Server, ETL). For the capstone project we analysed transactions' data and we were asked to make predictions about the users' plan, cluster them based on heuristic and machine learning techniques and use our creativity to predict customer churn and offer solutions to reduce it.
For this project our team created a python game using the PyGame Python library. It was a really fun experience working on this and the result was rewarding as we were one of the teams to get an award and have the chance to present in front of a big audience.
